- Edinburgh Fringe Festival – Scotland
The highlight of this list is the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest art festival in the world which takes place in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh. Taking place from August, this annual festival presents extraordinary entertainment with more than 50,000 shows.
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival has been taking place since 1947 when participants appear at the Edinburgh International Festival uninvited by displaying their own performances. Since then, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Festival is held every year.
